JONI MITCHELL IS THE FACE OF SAINT LAURENT'S LATEST CAMPAIGN

Hedi Slimane photographed the legendary singer at her home in Los Angeles.

Spring 2015 is rapidly shaping up to be the season of iconic women in fashion campaigns, and it seems that Hedi Slimane is the next designer to have gotten the memo. Saint Laurent's newest Music Project images have been released, featuring none other than the inimitable Joni Mitchell.

As is his custom, Slimane photographed the iconic singer himself at her home in Bel Air. The images, featuring Mitchell with her guitar, are gorgeous, simple, and so real (very much in the style of the singer's seminal folk sound). The only bad news is that if you were eyeing Mitchell's cape, you're out of luck—that's a custom piece that was designed just for her. (We'd say she's pretty well-deserving of that token.)

Slimane has featured many a musical muse (Kim Gordon, Beck, and Courtney Love, to name a few), but we're particularly excited to see this legend take her turn in front of his camera.
