today, hip-hop and fashion go together like Kanye and Versace, but urban hip-hop style — think Adidas, tanks and oversized pants — didn’t always have a home in the mainstream. In Fresh Dressed, a CNN Films production, director Sacha Jenkins chronicles the evolution of "fresh" style and rappers' transition from Armani suits to b-boy chic on stage.

"Hip-hop fashion was derived through the music," explains Carl Banks in an exclusive clip from the documentary. "It was a 'we’re not gonna follow the rules' mentality, both in music and in fashion." The "rewrite the rules" vibe was definitely one that resonated with young audiences, launching the hip-hop subculture from South Bronx to the forefront of popular fashions.

The energetic film, which features in-depth interviews with familiar faces of industry insiders like Pharrell Williams and Andre Leon Talley, will premiere at Sundance on Jan. 24. Be prepared to feel a wave of nostalgia for your boombox and Puma tracksuit.

Ballsy looks from Rick Owens in Paris

Normally Rick Owens' show is quite a spectacle, whether that's Estonian death metal band Winny Puhh hanging on wires from the ceiling, blasting music that shakes the seats we're sitting in or employing a troupe of step dancers to showcase the collection, rather than models.

This season was a little different: there was no big band and the space was far more light and airy that usual, with the show moved from the dark confines of Bercy stadium in the Twelfth to the window-filled Palais de Tokyo gallery. 

We were meant to see something. Then, as the models marched down the catwalk showcasing looks that got increasingly deconstructed (holes for non-existent arms and necks in the wrong places as well as exposed chests and legs, as if the models were rushing to get ready), we noticed what.

Underneath the outfits, the models were going commando.

Whether these were merely accidental dick-slips isn't clear, but there it was: four looks in a row (and one a little later) with holes cut out at just the right places to feature full-frontal. Needless to say it's the kind of move that grabbed the fashion press' collective attention - #dickowens was "a thing" on Twitter seconds after the front row caught a glimpse of the first look.

That's not to say the clothes weren't proof that Owens isn't still a master of his craft. While this kind of deconstruction has become the designer's signature and gained him a large and loyal following, there were some incredibly wearable pieces - in particular the black and brown wool pea coats that opened the show, and especially the ones with the contrast fur collars.

Still, might be a bit nippy in winter if you don't wear them with any underpants.

According to Diplo, Taylor Swift's fans need to come the eff down.
In November 2014, the producer tweeted about Swift's "booty." The "Blank Space" singer, 25, didn't respond to Diplo directly, but her BFF Lorde came to her defense when she mocked the DJ's allegedly "tiny penis." In hindsight, Diplo calls the Twitter feud "really dumb." As he explains in GQ's February 2015 issue, "So many great albums came out that week, and all people talked about, on all the big press, was me vs. Lorde, and Kim Kardashian's butt. No one covered any music. And it's funny, because me and Lorde, we're actually friends, and it was a funny, in-jest conversation. So many tabloids used it to make it story, when it was not. Literally, it was such a tongue-in-cheek joke on both sides. I think Taylor Swift is such an impactful character, that it was because she was involved that it became really big."
Diplo had no idea that his tweet would create such a stir.
"The repercussions are really bad. Like, Taylor Swift fans are really crazy. They threatened to murder me and stuff. It's really bizarre, and disgusting," the musician says. "They're the worst people in the world."

Diplo admits that he's a "pretty big fan" of Swift, but he doesn't appreciate how the pop star's fans behaved. "They're like, 'I wish your kids had Down syndrome.' They're so evil. I dissed Lady Gaga before, and the gays were never even this mean. They're funny. These people are like mean-spirited, evil human beings," he says. "I'm not a politician. I shouldn't have to be under the microscope for people like that."
The producer, who's worked with everyone from Britney Spears to Lil Wayne, knows better than to cross Swift—or her fans—again. "She has like 40 million Twitter fans. Forty million! Yeah. It's crazy. I'm a fan, though. Her powers—she's big. She's strong, bro. Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies. And I know lots of secrets. I can't divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And she's definitely...there's definitely scary stuff going on," he tells GQ. "And I'm scared. I'm scared for my life."

X-Men: Apocalypse: Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan Cast as Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops!

The next generation of mutants is shaping up quite nicely!
Bryan Singer revealed on Twitter Thursday that Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan have been cast in X-Men: Apocalypse. The director confirmed that of the newly cast "brilliant young mutants," Shipp will play Storm, Turner will play Jean Grey and Sheridan will play Cyclops.
You might not recognize any of these stars' names at first glance, but there's a good chance you've seen them before. Shipp, for example, recently portrayed Aaliyah in the Lifetime TV movie Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B. The 23-year-old actress has also had a recurring role on Days of Our Lives.

Turner, 18, is best known for her role as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones. Her Barely Lethal co-star Hailee Steinfeld  tweeted after the casting news broke, "my best friends a mutant." Turner responded with a series of colorful hearts, adding, "@HaileeSteinfeld I LOVE YOU SO MUCH..."
As for Sheridan? The 18-year-old certainly won't be starstruck by the rest of X-Men: Apocalypse's A-list cast! He acted alongside Sean Penn, Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain in 2011's The Tree of Life, and in 2012's Mud, he counted Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon as co-stars.

Kanye West has a lot to say about fashion.
The rapper-designer was on hand at The Daily Front Row's inaugural Fashion Los Angeles Awards at the Sunset Tower Hotel last night to present an award to Milk Studios founder Mazdack Rossi.
West gave an impassioned speech about the importance of fashion and design, going so far as to say it's God's work.
First, he opened with an anecdote explaining why he doesn't smile so much.
"Back when I was working on Yeezus, I saw this book from the 1800s and it was velvet-covered with brass and everything," West said. "I looked at all these people's photos and they look so real and their outfits were incredible and they weren't smiling and people, you know the paparazzi, always come up to me, ‘Why you not smiling?' and I think, not smiling makes me smile...When you see paintings in an old castle, people are not smiling cause it just wouldn't look as cool."

From there, Kim Kardashian's hubby argued that fashion is divinely-inspired.

"In my opinion, God is the No. 1 creator, and anytime we create, we're an extension of doing his work on earth," West said. "That's why we're here. What can we do for humanity? And you know, in a way, fashion is what defines the time."
He proclaimed everybody is a "fashion insider" because "it's illegal to be naked."
"Everyone has some form of fashion every single day," West said, explaining, "We have the power to change the world. I believe that through design, because design is the closest to truth, problem solving truth is the closest to love, and love is the closest thing to God, and God is love."

Got that?

But West also acknowledged toward the end of his nearly eight–minute speech, "I don't know if I even made one f--king good point."


And then, just like that, he smiled.

Honorees also included Jeremy Scott for Womenswear Designer of the Year, Italo Zucchelli of Calvin Klein for Menswear Designer of Year and Christian Louboutin for Shoe Designer of the Year.
Gigi Hadid was named Model of the year, while August Getty was crowned Emerging Designer of the Year.
InStyle editor-in-chief Ariel Foxman picked up Fashion Magazine of the Year and Ann Carusowas Womenswear Stylist of the Year with Haria Urbinati receiving the Menswear Stylist honor.
Guests and presenters included Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Kerry Washington, Drew Barrymore, Armie Hammer, Dylan Penn, Nicole Richie, Ciara, Rachel Zoe and Minka Kelly.

In the description of the book on Rizzoli’s website, the star of E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians who is married to rapper Kanye West, is referred to as “the modern-day personification of Marilyn Monroe,” a “true American icon,” and a “trailblazer of the ‘selfie movement.'” Selfish hits shelves in spring 2015.

Early life

Bellucci was born in Città di Castello, Umbria, Italy[2][3] as the only child of Brunella Briganti and Pasquale Bellucci, and she grew up in San Giustino.

Monica Bellucci began modelling at age 13 by posing for a local photo enthusiast.[4] In 1988, Bellucci moved to one of Europe's fashion centres, Milan, where she signed with Elite Model Management.
